The NZ Ministry of Health has provided a new Healthline number and advice on what you need to do if you are arriving from, or transiting through, mainland China.

New Healthline number 0800 358 5453

A new dedicated 0800 number has been set up for questions and concerns about novel coronavirus. The new number is 0800 358 5453 (or +64 9 358 5453 for overseas SIMs). This number is free to call, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with interpreters on hand to help with translation.

For people arriving from, or transiting through, mainland China

  • Please register your details with Healthline on 0800 358 5453 within 24 hours of arrival. Registering will help Healthline provide you with health information, advice and support.
  • Self-isolate for 14 days. Self-isolation means avoiding situations where you could infect other people. If you are unsure if you should be self-isolating, please contact Healthline for free on 0800 358 5453.

If travel restrictions and self-isolation affect your ability to start or continue your studies, please contact us on +64 9 379 4666 (Auckland) or +64 4 920 2505 (Wellington) so we can help you with your course work or programme arrangements.
