Kerri has worked at Whitireia since 2000 in undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education and research. This has built on, and been influenced by, over twenty years of clinical nursing practice. Research interests include primary and community health, nurse education, cultural safety and nursing history. Current projects focus on cultural safety, the learning needs of internationally qualified nurses and the impact of postgraduate education on nurses careers. Kerri is the editor of the Whitireia Nursing & Health Journal.
