Heavy Automotive Engineering (Road Transport)
Be prepared to service and repair trucks, buses or heavy trailers. Carry out tuning of multi-cylinder four stroke diesel engines, diagnose and repair vehicle faults, work on transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems. Check cab safety and inspect towing systems.

All students must be employed in an appropriate automotive job full-time to complete this programme, as well as the below criteria:
Successful completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3), or relevant skills and experience.
