New Zealand Certificate in Light Automotive Engineering (Level 4) Part Time

Specialise in light automotive engineering and complete your apprenticeship through WelTec. Enjoy access to expert advice and practical tutorials from our tutors while you work. You’ll do block courses and study part-time in the evenings with other apprentices.

What you will learn

Develop your diagnostic skills while working in our diagnosing and repairing labs. Learn about engine systems, engine maintenance, steering, suspension and braking systems and electrical and electronic components.

Entry requirements

All students must be employed in an appropriate automotive job full-time to complete this programme, as well as the below criteria:

Successful completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3), or equivalent skills and knowledge.

Government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF)
