New students wanting to study Level 4 carpentry please see New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) which replaces this programme. This programme is only for students already enrolled into this programme. 

What you will learn

  • Receive on-site work experience in timber floor framing, flooring and wall framing
  • Install plasterboard linings and thermal insulation materials
  • Apply levelling methods and set out residential buildings
  • Interpret construction drawings and prepare quantity lists
