On 1 September 2022, the operations of Whitireia and WelTec transferred to the Whitireia and WelTec business division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (Te Pūkenga). As part of this, all existing Whitireia and WelTec programmes transferred to Te Pūkenga.
From this date (1 September 2022), all references to Whitireia and WelTec on this website (and any documentation linked through this website) need to be read as references to Te Pūkenga and its Whitireia and WelTec business divisions.

All programmes offered by Whitireia or WelTec and other subsidiaries of Te Pūkenga are under review, to ensure they are portable, consistent and aligned with the needs of industry. The programme you have enrolled in may change over time.
Acceptance of your application to enrol at ‘Te Pūkenga trading as Whitireia and WelTec’ is subject to you meeting the admission and programme requirements (if any) and the availability of places on your selected course(s).
Whitireia and WelTec reserve the right to cancel, postpone or change the location of courses and/or programmes and shall not be liable for any claim other than the portion of the fees relating to the cancelled course or programme.
Applicants who meet entry requirements are selected on a first come first served basis. If applications to any of these courses/programmes exceed places available, applicants will be notified about the next available course/programme.
The purpose of the application form is to obtain the information we need to enrol you into a qualification and to collect information required by the Ministry of Education and other Government agencies for statistical and administrative reasons. Whitireia and WelTec share student information to plan delivery and provide student services including for enrolment administration, library and information services, learning support, disability support, careers advice, scholarships, graduation and academic records, and student conduct and complaints.

You may request to see information collected about you and you have the right to amend any errors. When any of your personal information is no longer required it will be securely disposed of in accordance with the Institutions’ Record Retention and Disposal Schedule.
Please note: Your emergency contact information may need to be used for purposes such as; if you are seriously ill and/or become injured while on our campuses, if you are at risk of harm, or if you are at risk of harming another individual.
All domestic fees displayed are indicative for 1 year of study (equivalent to 120 credits); OR as specified for the duration of the programme of study.
International fees displayed are for 1 year of study (equivalent to 120 credits); OR as specified for the duration of the programme of study, and do not include the Institutes default Travel and Medical Insurance (approximately NZ $765 per year of study, provided by Uni‐Care NZ), $224 annual admin fee , and $375 annual student services fee.
If you’re new to tertiary studies, or you’ve previously done less than six months at tertiary level, you may qualify for one year's study or two years’ work-based training – up to $12,000. This includes tuition fees, associated mandatory fees, and compulsory student services fees.

Following the new Government’s announcement of its intention to disestablish Te Pūkenga | New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, please be assured that your programme of study or training will continue as planned while we work through the details of how this change will be implemented.
